Day Two:
SUNDAY
We arrived at my sister Amy's house somewhere around 6:30 am and completely exhausted. The kids, on the other hand, seemed to have tapped into some unknown energy and were ready for whatever the day brought. They were so excited to see their cousins and played with them for the first half of the day while we let Rocky sleep some. Around 2 pm family started pouring in for a family dinner celebrating the birthdays of my brother Adam and my dad. The whole family was there. It was so nice to see them all again- especially in one place! We got to meet my newest niece- Mia- for the first time. She is such a cute little doll! Amy made Adam and Dad this dessert kind of thing. I'm not sure exactly what you would call it. A candy fight scene of some sort, I guess. It was gummy bears against sour patch kids. It was hilarious! And the kids had a blast devouring it. It was a great day and a wonderful start to our vacation.

Trevor and Mom's dog, Mitzi, were instant pals

Finishing up some pipe laying in Amy's back yard (for sprinklers).
The battle scene: Gummy bears vs. Sour Patch Kids
And then the war was over. Kids reign supreme!
