Bolt The Doors- Bar The Windows- ARIZONA HERE WE COME!!

Day One:

SATURDAY

We left for Arizona in the early evening and drove through the night. We though that by driving through the night, the kids would sleep and it would be an easy haul. Mental note- NEVER try that again!! The kids ended up "napping" here and there but mostly just got restless. Their Gameboys, Leapsters and the DVD player did help for a bit- so there was a small plus. However, it was dark outside so they had nothing to look at out the windows and no light for inside the car. Their coloring books and reading books were useless. Little Luke hated being confined to a chair for hours on end and cried a great deal of the way. Over all it was definitely a BAD idea! Next time we travel, it will be during the day!
