Ah, the Dixon May Fair. All those fond childhood memories of cotton candy, funky animal smells, carni games and queasy stomachs...how I do love those memories. It's those memories I'd like our kids to have too. So Friday I picked the kids up a bit early from school and took them all to the fair. Since Rocky was working, the kids and I decided we would just check out all the live stock and exhibits. Afterwards we would go home, eat and come back with daddy...and then we would ride until our stomachs screamed for mercy. Great plan!
"Momma LOOK! This little chicken had an EGG!!"

Luke was making faces and weird animal noises at the goats. They seemed so unimpressed. Snobby goats.
These crazy kids have no fear!

The only one who had guts enough to ride this crazy ride with me was NOT Brenden or Jacob...It was EMILY! And though you can't really see us...trust me...we're there.
Rides over!
This would be what it looks like to try and keep your balance while being knocked over by a scared, queasy and quite possibly dizzy 7 yr old...who was trying to escape as fast as she could!
Rocky had them begging for him to stop the spinning! We did say until our stomachs screamed for mercy!
And after a long night and tons of fun, we headed back to the car...passing the livestock once again. There was a cow giving birth and we all got to watch this amazing event. We were all in awe. No pictures though. We thought we'd let the new momma and baby girl have their time...flash-free.
