Sunday Drive

Rocky and I are outdoorsy people at heart and if we don't get out often enough to enjoy it, we get cranky. So to keep the crabbies at bay, we used to take drives out through the beautiful nearby hills. One weekend we got busy and decided not to go. Well, that one weekend ended up turning into too many weekends. This weekend Rocky and I decided that we missed our drives too much and needed to start taking our drives again. Since it's too beautiful not to share, we thought we would take you along with us on these drives. And to the family who used to live here and whose hearts are missing these beautiful sights--this is for you.

This little guy is a California Red-Bellied Newt . Since he's very poisonous, we just observed and let him be on his way.
We made a stop at a rest area and found this beautiful wild peacock strutting his stuff on one of the picinic tables. Luke just loved him!
