Batter In A Can??

Rocky and I were in Costco and saw this Organic Batter Blaster and- mostly for novelty reasons- we had to try it. Pancakes in a can?? Just crazy! Well, this is how it went:

1st can- We decided to try making pancakes first. It was ugly. We fiddled with the temperature of the stove several times but the pancakes kept burning before they cooked through. By that we mean, the side touching the pan burned but the side facing up was very raw- making it very very hard to flip. Grrr. We only got 4 pancakes out of the whole can.

2nd can- We then decided to make waffles but the can was broken! It wouldn't work! No, we didn't drop it or anything. It just malfunctioned and wouldn't work. Completely unusable. Grrr again.

3rd can- Ahhh Haa! We have success! The can worked and the waffles turned out purdy and perfect! They tasted good too- passing even the kid test. This one can made quite a bit, though not enough for our family of 7. It made enough to maybe feed a family of 5.

Our over all review- its 50/50. Though the waffles were good, we probably wont be buying it again anytime soon. At $9.99 for a 3 pack, its just not practical for our large family when we can make waffles with a mix for much less. Plus we like to add fruits to our waffles and pancakes. We cant do that with the canned batter. However- for someone who is making breakfast for a smaller family or someone whos not the best of cooks, this might be for them (provided all cans work and you make waffles!).
